Busy, busy, I don’t know where this month has gone. All my A -Z blogs, for Lilian’s Tree are written and scheduled. That is a load of my mind. While it has been fun, it did start to become a chore and this blog suffered because of it, sorry.
We have just had three and a bit days, staying at Windsor, NSW. Settled in 1791 on the banks of the Hawkesbury River, this historical town has plenty to offer the history buff. There are four easy walking tours, that you can do on your own, just get the guides for the tourist information centre, located in the museum.
Close to the historical towns of Richmond, Wilberforce, Ebenezer, Kurrajong and Pitt Town, Windsor is a good base for exploring. Something we enjoyed. Ebenezer is home to the oldest church in Australia. Ebenezer Church, built in 1809.
On another note, I’ve been searching TROVE, the National Library of Australia’s digitised newspaper website. http://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/
This site offers a huge range of Australian newspapers, from all states. Have a look and see what you can discover.
Bye for now,
Lilian.
