Hi, it’s been a while since I did a post, here, so today I thought I’d do a catch-up.
I think my talk in February went well and I was able to present at THE Genealogy Show, Summer Edition, in early July.
We have spent time away, in country Victoria and the ACT. In Victoria we followed the Silo Art Trail and looked at painted silos. Beautiful.
In Canberra, I went to the Australian National Portrait Gallery, to view an exhibition from The National Portrait Gallery, London. It was well worth the visit and brought back memories of going to the gallery, when I was in London in 2019. I also did some research at Family History ACT and found some very useful information.
Back home and I entered my first writing competition, but wont find out the results until later this year.
I’m back studying, doing a DNA subject for my Advanced DNA Certificate. Through the Family History Academy, I’m doing a six month course on Essential Speaker Skills. It is one topic a month with exercises and homework to do. I’m enjoying both courses.
I’ve also gone back to patchwork, finishing one quilt top and starting and finishing another, while away, with a quilting buddy. I found it relaxing to be back doing it.
I’m speaking at the NSW, ACT Family History Conference, Riding the Waves of Time in September and am looking forward to the conference. It is by Zoom, again this year.
Bye,
Lilian.
