I know I haven’t posted since I did the one on RootsTech but I have been busy. Covid-19 is still raging and I am still staying home or not venturing very far, if I do go out. Shopping is done online, meetings are done through Zoom, gotomeeting or gotowebinar. Face-time with the grandchildren and phone calls.
So What Have I Finished?????
Apart from around 10 different items of knitting, at least 50 books, I finished my Diploma of Family History, through the University of Tasmania (UTAS). I has started this back in the Spring Semister of 2015, worked on it until 2017 and then took a break. During that break I studied with the National Institute for Genealogical Studies (NGIS), a course I started in 2013. Late last year I made the decision to finish the UTAS course as I only had three subjects to do.
I finished the NGIS course, this year also.
While I was in Salt Lake City I started two of the subjects and then in May started the last one.
Graduation was Friday 14 August but due to Covid-19, no actual ceremony took place and my diploma will be mailed to me, (and everyone else). So on Friday at 11.00am, I had a Zoom party, with family and friends to celebrate.
So study is over, I have a large string of letters to put after my name and on looking forward to doing more family research.
